Having started out in black and death metal, it didn't take long for TIAMAT to devote themselves, first in parts and then fully, to completely different spheres and thus become one of the pioneering bands of what we now call gothic metal. Always on the trail of innovations in sound and aesthetics, the Swedes can be counted among the pioneers of the subgenre.
